Witch values changes when you change flying mode? I can't seem to lower the yaw gain to make my tail servo less sensitive /martin |

You can change either the Yaw Gyro gain (in Setup: Basic/Gyro/Yaw/Gain) or, you can reduce the amount of Yaw stick authority (Setup: Advanced/Profile/Yaw/TxRate) |

I know that I don't have totally balanced motors, probably after last crash, and there might be more vibrations in the frame than normally. My tail servo is directly glued to the hinge, as on Davids RCexplorer v2.5 and there is no slack. But when in the air, the servo makes a lot of corrections and makes the (reinforced) tail boom wobberly. I've tried to decerse the gyro gain, but I don't see any result. I wish I had a video of this, so I will make on later today. Stay tuned ![]() Before I make the video i will try to adjust (decrease) the TxRate <edit> Here is the video then. Sorry for the stoneface ![]() http://youtu.be/X1bw2rHaVQE /martin |

![]() Yes, there does seem to be a medium-high oscillation there. I would certainly check the Yaw prop & motor for balance. Did it do this before the crash or not ? |

Have a look at another view at my "stoneface" flying. I kind of like it with the camera facing backwards ![]() http://youtu.be/DjpeR3T9_oE After this flight the bearrings of the yaw motor ware going bad. Lots of friction. They are not so good these bearings. I'm okay with the results for now, so thank you (and Dan) for support. Any release date on the next v 1.5 firmware, Mike? Best regards Martin |

Latest update on the MEMS module:
- All PCB done - All parts in place - In SMT run now. Will be slow and steady to ensure the quality due to the very fine pitch of those Gyro (ask Mike and David, they will tell you what I am talking about )Current expected delivery around mid March. |

![]() Oh yes, bad weather - decided to have a fly after the snow, but silly me flew a bit low and scraped thru the snow and promptly ended up upside-down. Bad news was that the snow got into the ESC's and promptly melted. Had to remove the shrink-wrap to dry'em out Oh well... ![]() As regards new XX1.5 firmware releases, unless there's something of particular note that needs adressing, I won't be rushing out any new firmware. Too many other irons in the fire

With gyro-only boards, it's pretty straightforward, but with multiple sensors, the sensors need to be working in-sync, otherwise there will be no benefit. So, XX1.5 targets the piezo gyros, and XX1.6 targets the mems board. Theoretcally you can mix them, but you just need to remember that the mems gyros give a higher output than the piezo ones. |
