I wouldn't.
The motor is already hot on 4s. But maybe with the 4blader of the combo it might work... Just for small bursts.

It did get warm during a quick watt test.
After some 4s flights I'm sure I wont be able to resist the 5s temptation.

If you got the combo with the edf unit then it xomes with 6 and 4 blade fans. Use the 4blader to limit your amps. I wouldnt use the 6 blader on 5s. Or maybe the het fan but yet again I think it might be a little more pitchy that one

I just hooked a 50A esc and a 4S 2200 45C batt and this thing can take off vertically for sure!!
I was holding it in one hand while I gave it some throttle and it took off vertically from my hand!! I had to thottle down before it hit the ceiling.
It starts to roll to the right.
With 3S it just kind of hovered in your hand.
Stock motor and fan.

I am going to give it a test tomorrow.

These 2200 4S batts are a very, very tight squeeze!
Do you guys remove some foam from the batt compartment?
Please show some pictures...

Nope - I just squeeze my battery in, not even any velcro. It's not going anywhere.

you can see the frame expanding when squeezing the battery in place.

I heated up the foam a little bit and shoved it in there. Seemed to displace things enough to make it easier getting in and out. 5s 1800's will need some cutting.

They are amazing motors. Way ahead of their time where you ciuldn't find a battery to handle the power. I got 2330watts on a 70mm het fan. On 5s
I cant wait to see tge 64mm but again I dont know who makes them now and if they are of the same quality and power as the first ones..
If you can please post a video and or some numbers.
But make sure you got a good battery fot that small thunder. The extra weight of the motor will also help on balancing the plane with the 4s
Well I just got the motor from RC International. They are in the US and they shipped very quick. Just made the order at the end of the week and it came in the mail yesterday. The motor is a differant level of quality. It is made outta composite material so it is light and the windings are perfect. I'm still waiting on the HET6404 from the Don. I may put this in my HK FlyJet I just ordered. The Cyclone set-up in my 64 is pretty nice on 4S. But either way this motor is a winner!!

Today I flew my Stinger with 3S and 4S back to back.
Sotck motor/fan, 50A esc.
More fun with 4S,
on 3S it feels letargic,
on 4S it accelerates very well, reaches its top speed quickly but then you hear the motor screaming some more and no more speed.
Maybe the fan reached its limit.
