I went ahead and pmed Scott (Phoenix Racing) about the plane. This guy is the only one who cares and answers my messages.
eh said it will be restocked very soon. btw he answered within 20 minutes.!!! not at all looking like hobbyking isn't he?
I will take that as within the month.. if now I'm not buying at all despite that I loved how the plane flew.

That's rough. I ordered from the int'l warehouse on sept 25 and got it on the 9th of oct. They had a blue ARF in use warehouse but wanted the red ARF. Weather looks good this weekend. She'll be ready for her first crash!

lol.. have youflown that thing yet?
expect it to be FFFAAAAASSSSTTT

the only downside is that the exhaust of the fan will be a bit blocked by the narrower exhaust ducting of the plane

The opening is 56mm, should be OK as it is... just under 85%, if not open it up by 2 or 3mm... it's only foam

I'm not talking about the exhaust nozzle..
I'm talking about where you place your EDF..

Sorry pavcon... when you said exhaust I thought you were talking the exit point...
OK, use some sandpaper... I did it for my T45 Hawk using the exact same 70mm setup... that had a raised area the same as the Stinger, remove some foam it isn't fibreglass is what my point was. I had to remove some in my Stinger also because I have put the stock Hawk 64mm motor and fan in it, with 3 blades cut off so I can use a nice 4s 2650mAh 50-90c battery...

Not obvious at all...

Hey I fly with Nitrocharged, things never remain stock... speed is addictive!
Will try to get some video of my Stinger on 4 cell... hopefully the weather improves a bit for us here!

May need to set up flaperons on it to be able to get it down safer!
