Well, 4s killed it

Went up to a better ESC, to it no longer themalled out, but that just ensured the motor could get hot enough to melt!

so none of the stock parts can take 4s
and the fan should be balanced to make sure it will last.. sitll there are more efficient 64mm out there

I have a Stinger to maiden

4s 2200 Nano50-90C 45A esc, Turnagy 28/15 motor on a 3 bladed fan.
Draws 45amps at 615Wp.

I placed the esc in the intake just infront of the fan, but inside the foam(lots if cooling.) Ive flown this set up on my HK Jetiger last year about 30 times. NO PROBLEMS

Not able to do any tests cos it's loud. But at half throttle it feels like it is pulling out of my hands more than the stock setup.

I have a turnigy 4s2200 20c pack and a nano tech 4s2200 25-50c pack for it.

That fan looks the same as stock?

oh by the way, for those still running the stock setup, did you find the motor/fan was loose or needed any tightening/adjustment when you took it out of the box?

Just an FYI. Hobby Lobby will be carrying with Stinger with MG servos soon, so all the boys in the states can get one with some better servos too.

mg servos quals to more weight.
6x10-15 grams more + 60 to 90grams more not good and not necessarry...
Now if they offer better electronics for 4S then i take everything back

yup, a decent ESC wouldn't go amiss
