You can find it at x-flight If you intent to use the stock fan please spend some time to balance it if you dont want your exhaust nozzle to throw up some blades i saw the stock fan when i got my arf and its kind of bendy.. Not stiff enough.Btw if anyone wants it i will send. No cash needed just the shipping costs. Oh i also have the stock fan of my f-16 tv from bh which is also 4s.. Good power and after i blown it on the first run my lhs balanced the fan for me so it runs real smooth |

Made a video on my friends Stinger, really nice plan plane and fun to fly.
Original out of the box except the engine is changed to a HK2836 3500kv due to a 4s LiPo setup and HobbyWing 45A ESC. LiPo is Gensace 1800mah.

I will have one of those.....I'll go stock on 3s at first. Great visibility for a dull sky. Very nice smooth flying, BTW. Hope HK gives you lots of points for that promo.
Will it land any slower than that? I think I might have cartwheeled it when it slewed. |

I got some 3s 1800 packs, and hand launching the Stinger is much much easier with the lighter setup (using 2200 3s packs before). If flys better with the lighter wing loading.
Now that I can hand launch consistently, I need another airframe to replace this poor bent, busted, glued, and band-aided monstrosity that used to look good! |

I re-flew the stinger yesterday with a 1750mAh 3s pack, at first right up in the nose and it was nose-heavy! Moved it back around 10mm as I had for the original flightest and it was perfect, no trim shiny side up or inverted, I still think that lighter is the way to go, flies better and doesn't have elevator up-trim required that bleeds off speed.

does anyone have pictures of a thrust tube for this plane? im still trying to figure out how to squeeze one in nicely without having to tear up any foam in the exhaust. the edf sits in a groove so sinking in a thrust tube by attaching it to the edf wont really work.

Few other mods....I moved the linkages to the top of the wing, almost done with the puke green covering (my paint and decals were terrible )...The bottom will be black/white checkerboard. I also cut a slot behind the canopy to cool the ESC. I am using one of the linkage covers over the hole![]() I have one of Don's Wicked 4000's and some 4s2350's that fit nicely. |
