I found 1600mAh to balance well.

I flew her on a Spektrum DX5e with no expo available and a jittery elevator stick and did just fine. If you have a DX6i or DX7 you will have an easier time than me.

Orientation might be a problem with the paint scheme. She's small and gets tiny in a hurry, so try to keep her within your best visual range at first, preferable with the sun at your back.

Watch the nose, on a rough landing it tends to snap off. And when you put any tape on the hatch or anywhere else, the paint will come right off when it lifts. (Also, don't a friend push his nails into the foam to see how strong it is. It will dent and he won't be such a good friend anymore.)

After a few flights, I put 2 inch clear packing tape on the leading edge of the wings. It keeps twigs and stickers from poking into the foam.

PS--Also, while your waiting, be sure to make an adapter for the ESC to match your batteries, my Stinger came with the XT60 connector on the ESC.

Enjoy your Stinger!

Agree...the plane gets far away fast, here is what I did to help with that.

That's really sharp looking. Maybe some LED lights or flourescent paint on the wings will help. I'm getting the blue version, but I have a buddy that loves to do custom paint jobs.

no need for either, that yellow really stands out against the sky. I just got the blue version and will probably go a bright red almost orange color that I just got from Liquitex, probably closer to orange. I love the blue and orange combo, that also stands out great. For that plane I also have the Dons 4s set up, so really looking forward to that.

Sweet! I'm still cutting my teeth, so 3s is plenty quick, but I am looking forward to putting something Wicked in there.

PS - I see you have gear. HK has forever been out of stock and I need to shop around.

Sweet! More than I paid for my whole Stinger!
Probably major foam surgery to fit.

I think I'll get something from Don and try for a "NASA launch" someday.

Hobby King Stinger takes of vertically from the ground. (0 min 11 sec)

Wish I knew. People asked several times in the YT comments, with no reply.
...Kinda makes it more of a challenge.

With the large stock outlet it should be pretty easy to do that kind of launch as you need static thrust to do that.

T-minus 12 hours for NASA launches across the nation. A VTO movement is born!
