Symon: You don't need new tires, and there are no inserts. However, I did just order myself a set of the soft compound (along with a few other upgrade goodies) to use with my Atomic aluminum wheels.

I maidened the red and white Yamaha Mini Moto tonite. Training my rookie buddy on his tomorrow. Found another flying friend that owns 3 mini's, so maybe we'll have some carpet racing in my basement this winter!

Simon: Yes, the gyro still fits inside the aluminum rear wheel. I ordered the wheels directly from RCAtomic in Hong Kong; I've had them since September but have been too busy to work on my MotoRacers until now. I ordered the soft tires, the optional steering springs, and the X-Speed motor from Banzai Hobby in Japan. They should be by next week.

Wow, nice prices from Banzai Hobbies, definitely cheaper than shops here in europe: I'm talking about, for example, 5.22 euros vs 16.50 euros for the front suspension (and more or less the same factor on any other part)

In case I decide to but this little thingy (so that my gpv-1 has somebody to play with), what options/spares you'd advice to order ?

MaX.

That's the other thing I ordered from Banzai -- a set of roller wires for each of my MotoRacers -- totally forgot about that!

Nice

Looks like Kyosho is putting more effort into making these look realistic with more colors on the bikes. That Repsol makes my blue Yamaha look plain.

Since the gyro action on this bike is SO strong, it would be great of someone created a 1/18 scale dirtbike using this tech.

all it needs is a longer front fork, and more travel in the rear suspension, and new rider and bodywork... and of course, tires which can be adapted from the Mini-Z buggy tread
