Out of respect for the creator of this thread and others that don't wish to scroll through construction details I suggest ending PM's to each other. Additional threads could also be started.

I don't mean to be rude but this thread is getting hijacked.

The guys in the Icon threads have seen these already, but I figured I would share them for general float plane appreciation.

I'm sorry for the spelling mistake on my part.

I meant to say; I suggest sending PM's to each other, not "ending". Hopefully this clears things up.

I don't think there is a rule regarding hi jacking, it's just respect for the thread creator.

I don't know how to post without using a quote, but here are a couple of my float planes.

Here are some of mine that I owned since 1986 when I started Float flying.
and some of the ones I have at this time.
Also have a Helicopter on floats.

At this time I have the Parkzone Icon A5 modified with flaps and lights.
The Flyzone Beaver actually have 2 of them now the second one I'm still working on.

Carbon Cub

A couple from today, with the lonesome but still spry cub. Today is "give your Icons a tiny break" day. For now.

Fred, Is this an ARF or did you scratch build it?

Thanks, Walter

Hi, Walter

This is a kit from "West Michigan Park Flyers." This is their stock picture, but mine has the same paint job and I used their picture. I had them paint it for me. This is called a Mako.
It is made from 6mm depron foam and I like the way it flies, but it isn't as fast as my Polaris planes from "Model Aero." It can be very aerobatic, more so than the Polaris with me flying it. The kit consists of laser cut parts still in their sheets of foam. I stumbled across their site while looking for another amphibious plane for grass and snow.
I encourage you to go to the WMPF website. If you decide to get one, PM or e- mail me and I will give you my construction thoughts. The site has a build blog. It is a mom and pop operation and both are very helpful.

Regards, Fred rc.flyer@comcast.net

I have the mako as well and it's a great flyer! It's great off grass, snow and water.
