How to hook up water rudder?

Super planes, and great pix guys!

I'm trying to figure out how to connect water rudders to a servo- it looks like there is no easy uncomplicated way to do it. Separate servo in fuse or float? connect to rudder servo in fuselage, then a complicated linkage to the float? The curved cable looks fairly simple, but I don't want it showing on my 60" Supercub. Now I'm thinking a dedicated servo in one float- must keep it waterproof! Run the servo cable up a strut into the fuselage. Any suggestions or pictures?

Thanks...Sammy

I'm flying my Twinstar II the second season on floats now.
I am using brishles inrunner with 3-bladed Ramoser Varioprops.
The floats are scratchbuild (even designed them myself) and are mede of 6mm Depron. It's my first and so far only waterplane. But it'll be definitely not the last one.

I did the servo in float option, no need to mess with complicated linkages. I just carved out a hole for a 9g servo in my HZ super cub floats and sealed it up as best I could with glue. Ran the wire up the front strut into the plane and to a y-harness on the rudder channel.

Great thread, great pix...some of you guys have incredible aircraft!!

Not much to brag about here but I've been out of the hobby for about seven years and I nearly sold everything except for these two guys and just pulled them out of the attic two weeks ago.

I'm trying desperately to get back in to it but I just can't seem to muster up the interest anymore

I'll admit, I got a little excited as I was working on them and preparing them for flight again but once in the air, it didn't take too long to find myself bored of making low passes and shooting touch'n'go's.

My Robbe SeaBee on the lake. I painted it up in the 1947 Republic company demonstrator colors, which transforms it into a real semi-scale model. Great little airplane, on the water and in the air. Russ Farris

I was just today thinking it would be cool to have a scale dock and some cleats and stuff to tie up to for some photos. Looks good.
