Well my lake froze over today. So with that another season comes to an end for me. Now the plane will go on skis and I will then fly on the frozen lake.

That is sitting very high up off the floats... which will be unstable on the water. I would cut those legs down a bit until the bottom of the prop arc is about 1/2" above the tops of the floats. In fact, there's no reason you can't use the stock landing gear legs.

But it's pretty

Some amazing planes in this thread!
After seeing them all I'm not sure if this counts as a 'proper' float plane but it's one I can heartily recommend for pure fun. It's the Aquarius which is a redesign of the Capricorn which was a redesign of the Robbe Gemini.
Quick and easy to build and a absolute blast to fly from water. Will also fly from grass, snow, ice, tarmac,.... whatever.

Neat reflection of the lights off the water. A night flying water plane...hmmmm...I may need to build one.

My Cub had a sub-fin on the bottom of the fuselage. I think it was to help add side area behind the CG to counter the side area of the floats. Yours may be not need the fin, but if it seems to wobble in the air, you might want to consider adding one.

I bet that toy hauler in the background comes in handy when you're transporting the Cub!
