FMS Mitsubishi A6M Zero 1400mm

Alright guys,

I indicated earlier this year (or even last year?) that FMS told me they would continue the Pacific lineup after the F4U Corsair (and the P40 )

Well, there will be two planes ready by the end of this May!

One of them is the A6M Zero that has been shown on some Asian toy fair apparently, together with its counterpart, the Grumman F6F Hellcat.

Enjoy the pics and look for the Hellcat thread if you are interested...

Cheers,
Bernhard

Zero looks good!
Undoubtedly there will be other schemes to choose from?

They even got the spinner looking right. I like where FMS is headed.

Holy $heet! I thought my hangar was big enough but guess again damn you FMS not sure about the colour scheme though......thanks Bernhard for posting the pics. The Spitfire is hard to get the CG right but this looks even worse with the short nose, I sense big batteries and motor/or nose weight....

I see a typhoon/tempest in the background there, not sure what size it is but I know what it means YIPPEE!!! :

subscribed. I will have one of these. and I LOVE the scheme.

It resembles the one they have on display at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton.

I love the color scheme of the A6M2, but I believe it had a shorter cowl than that.

How is FMS so amazing? They are pumping out planes faster than Boeing pumps out airliners...insane!

I believe this is an A6M3 variant the cowling is not correct for an A6M2 and the protruding wing cannons are also not consitent with the 'M2' version. It also lacks the exhaust 'stacks' of the later M5 variants.

Nice looking, I'm thinking that was a zero in the photo that was removed from the FMS-190 thread some time ago...

Agreed, looks to be close to the A6M3 model 22a with the long barrell 20mm cannons. The cowling isn't quite correct but its very close! I have been hounding Horizon to produce this plane and halleluia! FMS steps up. Put on some green blotched camo and you have a scale paint scheme for a Solomon Island era Zero! Awesome! Now I have two FMS planes on my list of must haves with the FW-190! Any word when this will be available?????????

The Tempest is 800mm. Here's a pic and a link: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1439190

Excited to think there'll possibly be a big Tempest or Typhoon coming...
