With all the slope fests going on and being able to actually head to the US in 2013 its time to start planning for the aircraft to take to the ISR's PSS fest then. so I've started drawing up the Boomerang .Originally I was thinking 60 "

looking at the flap setup this thing will be a 6 servo wing . And a possible 5 piece wing

Actually with what I have planned it will fit in a 1.5mtr x 600mm x 600mm crate, thats leaves the fin and stab attached with extra storage around the sides for extra planes .
But I talk to Sean in September and get the size of box he used which I think looked a lot bigger than what I have planned

Actually,thinking about what you said Matin a 3 piece fin a stab setup would not be that hard to achieve ,the 5 piece wing will be easy and I'll sit down and do some drawing work on the tail end, I have some ideas to make it work .

David reminded me of the start of this thread but as House reno's and work shop extension
taking up building time it will take a while to kick this off as a build thread

What the hell's going on ,you know how Bill lost some of his bits to the Dauntless, Well at least he had the model well underway ,I cant find the damn drawings I did for the Boomerang ARRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!

Finally found my drawings hidden behind the resin cabinet
Oh well did a lot of head scratching on what way to build this bird ,I finally thought I'd let the wood tell me how it want to go together so I went old school on it. Started with a simple profile and added formers used a little 1/4" at the tail end for some strength and then 1/8 for the rest ,1/8 ply root support and the forward bulkheads will be 1/8" ply except for the very front of the cowl which I'm going to build up as a hollow and build lead into it for a start rather try to stuff it all in later .It wont be enough to balance it but i wont have to stick as much into the front if I build in in the first place if you know what I mean
anyway took some shots to let you see what I'm up to not much to look at yet though
