It might be simpler to just charge the battery out of the transmitter, I do it with my lipo battery on another transmitter all the time.

I am a little leery of placing cycles of plugging and unplugging the connection between the battery and the TX. The wires and connectors are just too small the handle this treatment in my opinion.

Or you could add an adaptor / connector in between (such as 2mm bullets), so that we wont put too many cycles of plugging and unplugging on the stock connector and wire.

Whats the difference between S-FHSS and FHSS? Only things Ive found are the Rx incuded (at least the one I got) only operates 4 channels in FHSS and takes a little longer to bind. Are there eg. range issues or supposed to be some lightweight 4CH indoor Rx:es?

The only difference is low latency with the S-FHSS receivers.

The linked page says nothing about differences between FHSS/S-FHSS; both "include extremely low latency, exceptionally fast frame rates, transmitters with no external antennas and low-cost receivers with Easy Link convenience."

I put a 2S1600, but added three 1N5404 diodes in series with the pack to comply with the battery warning (set to 5V).

if i don't used the diode will have problem?

I am hoping that Frsky will offer a S-FHSS receiver soon.

Im not sure as I did not check the PCB/power supply on mine but you might get problems as the addendum at

Mee too - meanwhile I hooked up a V8HT DIY to be able to use the small V8R4 (FrSky ACCST 4ch Rx:es) for small indoor foamies. But I had to cut the schottky diode as the PPM level otherwise would be too low for the module to work. The con was (is) my 6J now has an external antenna too...
