If you ESC's don't see a low enough signal number they won't arm.
But if you are turly having and issue, with the board.
If you can't get it to talk to the programs the, something is loose or more like a C.S.J. (cold solder joint) which would cause the intermittent issue.
Try using a had dryer when it doesn't arm.
With the chips that are on the board either they work or they don't.
So I would bet there is a c.s.j somwhere on that board.
Checking your BEC should give you no more than 5.5 volts DC!

Of course, I can't arm the board either, because it never gets to the point of being able to be armed. When it is in this state, it is as if it never 'booted' correctly.

In the off chance that the board arms the ESCs, I can arm the board and fly the quad. The prob is that everytime I get it (by repeatedly trying to plug it in) to work, it only works for maybe one flight, then does the same thing again. MW Config and Arduino cannot see the board in this condition.

If I check the BEC voltage, what am I looking for?

Thanks,

e

Got it. Exactly what I was thinking DA, because it works in my house sometimes, then I take it to the field in my car and it doesn't work. Only difference is temperature. I bring it back to the house, let it sit and it works. I'd rather fly it at the field than in my living room personally.

Well then if you can get the hair dyrer to make a difference then that is it.
It could be easy for you to fix yourself.
But if you havent done it before you should just send it in to witespy.

I got my quad to run with Quadrino advanced, finally, last weekend. But the settings, or maybe something else isn't right yet.
When I run up the throttle it just want to tip over to its left (my right as I face the top end of the quad and the top two rotors). I' be got the blade orientation and rotation correct for a quad x. I can't tell for sure but it looks like the motors on that side it wants to tip to aren't turning as fast as the other side.
I'm using RC timer 20A escs on all four motors, and the motors are all heads up RC 2215 970kv. Props are all the same Dia and pitch too (yes two are reversed). So to this point I cannot yet do a basic hover.
Can I test for rpms on individual motors on the GUI screen? And if that's the problem can they be adjusted on the GUI screen? Or does that involve programming the esc?
here is a print screen I got today when I hooked up the quadrino to my PC with the USB cable. I did not arm the motors, but you can see with full throttle, one side is up near 1900, while the other is well below that. How do I calibrate the ESCs? is that done in the GUI? I was able to slide top top ESC number up or down. When I tried that on lower ESC, the aux 3 and 4 kept opening up. Anyways, even if I could slide the front right ESC up with my mouse, it wouldn't stay put.
I think this follows my quad's tendancy to tip over as I increase throttle, instead of going into nice hover.

Where's the official support for Quadrino?

Witespy store home page looks awful, no contact, no reply to emails. What up?

This is a great product, support is currently user forum only apparently.

Just talked to him on the phone. He returned my call quickly and made me a happy customer!

He said the crystal(?) may have gone bad and he would fix it.
