Actually, I'm pretty impressed when one of these ARF's makes it out of the shop without any damage to that nice finish! We kit builders get to patch all the dings/ divots and dents from bashing it around the shop for 2 months before we paint.

that's how I am too Chris. I would probably mess an ARF up not being able to paint it last.

I'll be honest with you, it takes a strict regimen to constantly wash hands after dealing with epoxy and having a good stand and clean area to work in. My first Electra taught me about "clean hands" and I've learned a few other tricks to keep the parts clean during the build that help. Nothing worse than a plane with fingerprints all over when you get it in the sun!

I love this scheme! I agree the total price is getting up there but IMO to get a jet of this size, built to this standard of quality for $2,495 is a good deal. I don't want to start a "mine-versus-yours" fight but I don't think these are overpriced like some say, if you look at what you get, the fit and finish and support from BVM and their field reps...

Actually I'm going to fight Bob @ E-jets!

I wouldn't even try him to be honest, he's in great shape and would likely kick my a$$...

Definitely not saying it's overpriced - quite the contrary. For the money the quality, fit and finish is extraordinary!!

It's just something that I can't afford...at least not yet anyway

That thing is awesome! Make sure we get together this weekend for pictures, looks like the weather will likely have us grounded anyway...
