Boxler?

Check this out on youtube...Watch the Boxler Fly! It was a little shy of power and never quite got off the ground. But, hey... Snoopy has a flying doghouse... why not a Boxler? (Bixler box + wings and motor = Boxler)
Boxler? (0 min 34 sec)

Good turnout at Tiger Field today

yea, great day. The remains of my corsair are being sifted through. The fuse is salvageable however the wing is destined for the great green bin.

Shot down by a Chinese Battery!

It was a pleasure meeting you guys and watching you fly. While I'm not sure if I'll join because of where I live and work, I was happy to buy a few tickets to help with the cause. Thank you again for your hospitality!

Now that would be a benefit of joining HDRRC. I could combine flying and fly fishing on the same trip to Tiger Field. With increasing fuel prices, I may have to run a cost/benefit analysis. I'd be the guy on the flightline in the neoprene waders.

Flying field, south Reno

Hey, NVFlyAngler, I am told that there is a vacant area right across from the Library, at the intersection of Wedge Parkway and White's Creek where there are guys who fly regularly. They even drag the field to keep it in better shape. Check it out...let me know how it turns out. :

I've heard that as well - from a few guys I met flying at the sports complex off of Wedge Parkway. I've seen a car or two there on occasion but never stopped to check it out. I'll take a closer look the next time I drive by.

Thanks, xylqrm, for the artwork... Note... the avitar that now appears on my entry page is a hand carved impression by my niece's husband of what I look like as a pilot.

Our fearless Club President's T-28 Maiden flight and abrupt ending. This is what happens when a brand new battery fails due to bad manufacturing.
