It doesn't have an RRP of $800, that's just typical marketing lies. HSP is a cheap Hong Kong brand.

For the price, they are great for the features that they offer. Just be aware that they use cheap and poorly manufactured components and are dressed up in bling to help disguise this fact.

Certainly not bad for the price, it represents better value for money than what brand name cars sell for in Australia, just don't expect it to last.

I want something that will be reliable and that i can upgrade as I learn more or break it..... I'm also kinda partial to this one cuz I have this body style lancer

It's reliable enough but I wouldn't try to upgrade it.... the TT-01 is just a really basic kit that doesn't offer much performance potential. For shaft-driven cars there are much better ones out there and some even cost less money... like the exceed madspeed for example. The TC4 is also another solid car that some hobby shops carry. All the body shells are also interchangeable and you can buy them separately.

So Im assuming the same thing would apply to the DF03RA? Would a 1/10 electric body also work on a 1/10 nitro? I keep looking at electric but really want nitro.... dont like the part that once the batteries die the party is over.

Nitro cars are a ton more work in maintenance and tuning. The bodies are interchangeable between electric and nitro cars though.

Is shaft driven not the way to go? Whats the alternative? Are there any good websites to read to learn some more.... all I seem to find are forums or ecommerce sites

shood, you might want to look in to a traxxas rustler VXL. its brushless 2.4ghx ect. its a 1/10th size. i have one and its great. Its 320$ most places. Its very fast and powerfull stock. add a 2cell lipo and it can wheelie with ease. add a 3s and up the gears and it will hit 70 and 75 MPH on road. I have a 2cell lipo in mine and its a ton of fun. Its a good bang for the buck truck/buggy. Only thing you have to watch out for is motor temps. If like me you live in a area that has 100+ dagree summers then you have to keep a check on the motors temp. but thats really true of a lot of high powerd brushless cars. you can get a alumnium tranny case for like 30-40 bucks to drope the temps down if need be.

Generally 1/10 touring car bodies run 190mm wide for electrics and 200mm wide for nitro.

full speed it will top 120 with lipos and it has a reliable brushless system in it the others are not very reliable and dont have option parts where as the bandit does

Its nitro RC trucks don't worry about the battery supplying too much current, look at how much the motor is going to draw.

Get thunder tiger eb4g3,st4g3, or mt4 g3 as durable as they get better than the savage flux and great parts support and customer service.
