I watched 'Brucy's ' video where he makes some comments about his fuel being degraded and not able to run the HK turbine. has anyone actually seen one run yet

There is something fishy about the HK turbine Before a company sends
a engine out for review they will have run it many time before that also if
one reviewer can't run it they will have him return it and send it to another
reviewer.

Hi all
I am a slope soaring pilot entering the jet world . I have a Model Mechanics ( not being produced anymore , was made in Johannesburg ) and a BMT turbine ( Also not being produced anymore , was made in Cape Town , was also the first kerosene start in the world )Both second hand engines But well manufactured ! Problem now is there is no spares and backup service . I am planning to buy a new turbine and came across this forum . I find it hard to believe that anybody even considers buying a Chinese made engine . We had a local trying to sell a Chinese rubbish engine called a " jetjoe " . Well ,the price was 1/2 that of the competition , did I buy it ? Absolutely not ! There is NONE left in this country ! Wonder why ? Please guys , pay for a JetCat , Wren , AMT ...and you are guaranteed a quality engine . If you can't afford one the next best engine will be the Kingtech . Word of mouth is a wonderful thing , I walk around and notice who flys consistently . Save the extra cash and you will be very Happy .
Happy savings account.
Regards
Africa

Well said Africa

In fact I have become so fed up with all the BS about the HK turbine..that is probably just a JetJoe on steroids.. that I just bought a Kingtech K100G for only 2000. Free shipping world wide and because Canada has a trade agreement with overseas dealers selling TOYS and TOY parts.. I dont even have to pay taxes or duties.

Kingtech has been around long enough now and their reputation is very strong.

Now aren't you going to feel silly when HK releases a 100kg with afterburner (reheat) for $20EUR....

Thank you Vettster !
With your recommendation I will also buy an " affordable " 8 kg Kingtech from our local dealer for about $ 2000 US . That is a very reasonable price for a turbine with a very good reputation here in Southern Africa . I can then easily compare the JETCAT and Kingtech with each other . Would like to have a Chinese turbine next to it to compare , can't find any down here ? Wonder why ? Not all of Hobbyking's products are bad , just most .
Happy flying to us and to the other turbine dreamers , good luck with your struggles .
Off to the field

Well it's about time Bruce finally showed us the HK turbine running! Funny he should pick today for his update.
