I hope not, they are very dangerous in uneducated hands and in the wrong environment. Just because they (hopefully) will be more affordable I hope buyers will seek the advice and skills required to run and fly this type of plane and at the correct site.

The other problem is HK are only into copying.. Not innovation..
If their usual method of cashing in on low prices does drive down turbine pricing too far, that will be the end of any real advancement in turbine technology..

I think that is what some of big names in turbines would like us to think
but I doubt that will be the case. Kingtech has been out for about three
years but I dont see the other turbine companies comming out with
lower prices.

For the people that have been playing with the top of the line turbines i can;t see them rushing for a HK turbine.

HK will no doubt partner with someone who has the experience.

I would think this would be the case. i would imagine the cost would still be around $1000. Who is going to try and fly this without help and advise. ....not many. its like anything though, there are always twits who do stupid things

If HK could bring a rellable turbine to market for about a grand and they get their cust
service togather they could sell a bunch. In the end I think it will be their cust service
that will make or break the deal.

Thinking out loud here but with HK having distribution centres(and soon retail premises) in AUS,US,HK,GER and now UK they just about have the planet covered so regional service centres are a possibility, they just might get this one right.

tell one turbine maker that has presented an innovation! virtually none!

sure my 9.3oz Kolibri produces 6.65lb of thrust but it is still the same design as virtually every turbine on the market.

if HK could use stock turbocharger parts they would be getting really cheap engines out.... but I doubt it.

I think kero start is an innovation. Mind you that is a small concession.

Dont forget that many of the major ones no longer user turbo charber parts and have improved design of the Compressor and turbine wheels, along with burner and combustion chamber design improvements.... That is why we now get 3 sec spool ups over 6sec or longer.. That is innovation in a sense.

Well, turbochargeing innovation steps forward too. I think it's rather that who makes the faster spool. Billet parts shave of weight which ofcause improves spool too.

Do you know for sure any turbine manufacturer who really designs their own compressor? not only copies a casted one with CNC-billet techniqe?

I know only one turbine manucaturer who makes their own designed compressor but I'm not allowed to speak about them.
