And backlight, and lots of 3 positions switches and more. But you are kinda wrong. The DX7s does have servo speed reducer, just not on all channels.

Ok I should have said on all channels. I would think gear would have been one to have speed for also. People don't want there gear slamming up and down.

Hi happy owners of dx7s...

Thinking about buying one after the dx6i that i have, i have questions :

- Is it possible to change mode easily like for the dx8 ?

- Is it better to buy a dx8 than à dx7 because dx7 AND telemetry will cost the same as a dx8 ?

Thx to you.

BUT most proper gear servo CAN NOT BE SLOW DOWN and most likely why they did it this way.

Unless you are using standard servo for gear, using a retract servo slowly down the gear channel will only delay the triggering point of the retract and not the actual retract speed.

Yes, in fact since it's the same housing and gimbals, it's exactly the same. You can read the procedure on page 40-ish in the DX8 manual. (I don't have a DX7s manual to compare to).

Buy the level of radio you can afford that delivers the features you desire.

Best way to do it is to go to the serial number screen in System Settings.Make sure the SD card is in the radio and click on Export on the same screen.Pull the card out and put it in a PC.You will see a file on the card labeled My DX7s.Open the file and you can copy then paste the serial number onto the registration page. Then theres no chance of missing or getting a character wrong.

40 to 2 says it all. Good on you Horizon.

System Inactive Warning

I haven't found much luck reading through the manual, but is there a way to change/disable the system inactive warning? Its a bit jolting to be coasting gently when the transmitter starts beeping and vibrating.
