veryvery improved winding diagram 'calculator'

Lovely job by Felix Niessen. For extreme pole/magnet combinations that are not in the standard winding diagram table. And for simple combinations as well of course.

It will give not only give the windingdiagram in character code, but also as a winding diagram drawing, a picture a worth a thousand words (thank you ManuLRK ). It will also give the number of cogging steps per revolution. And the winding factor as well, whatever that may be, haven't figured it out yet It allows to select the skewing, edit the character code (e.g. from dLRK to LRK) and it will show the new winding diagram.

I opened it using Google Chrome and then hit the "Translate" button for a pretty reasonable English version.

Hi ron van sommeren,

I am Amith from India...I new to this field...
This site is Excellent...

I have some doubts, What is the difference between BLDC motor & PMSM? constructionally i have not seen any difference, & from this site i got know that BLDC motor driven by trapezoidal waveform & PMSM driven by sinewave waveform... What other difference is there?

What is the full form of LRK winding?

Is BLDC motor can driven by sinewave supply?

Is winding of BLDC motor is same as PMSM?

The google translations are pretty good for those of us with weak language skills. But they can leave a lot of things still unintelligible.

One thing that does not work on the google translations is the translation of the upper and lower case winding schemes. Something like AbCaBcaBc will turn out to not be capitalized right depending on where it falls in a sentence or something like that.

It would be nice to have the powercroco pages presented with language pushbuttons and better translations.

The calculator offers a choice between 'de' (dzjerman ) and 'en' ('engl' or flags would have been clearer).

The calculator does work very well in English, Ron.

I was thinking more of when you click on the the other links there that take you to other pages. There is a lot of good info on those pages that google has to "struggle with" because of the technical terms.

The "Meine Kombinationstabelle" page is a good example of a page that I struggle with on the google translations.

The colours in the table are international Jack. Anyway, from now on you'll be using the new 'calculator' I guess, either in German or in English It is niece piece of work.

I don't know the term PMSM, but judging by what you wrote, they are the same.

Brushless controllers in RC use trapezoidal commutation but sinusoidal controllers are on their way. E.g. by Hacker Motors (sensored) and SLS controllers (sensorless). BLDC motors run perfect on sinusoidal controllers, see the videos at SLS -> Referenzen/Projekte.
