Nearly There
Not really a build log, more an engine room fit out.
A while ago I bought a little 34" cabin cruiser as something just a little different. Out came the electric motor, and here are the recent results. Boiler is a Cheddar Pintail Horizontal. Engine I believe is a Tony Green made SVS. Gas tank, Cheddar. Exhaust catch tank made yesterday. Just waiting for a burner from Clevedon Steam and we are ready to go. Oh, and yes, I will be lagging the pipes, after the first shakedown bench run. |

Cute. But you need a chimney where that hatch is now.

It has a chimney in the hatch already! What's the beef?
When running he just opens the hatch. All the steam coming out will look like he is burning some steaks on the galley grill!

Neil, NOT telling you what to do.. . But have you thought of running the exhaust out through the transom? Just a thought-

Also, as the engine is an oscillator, it really MUST exhaust into a catch tank before the steam goes anywhere else. Kmot: Waddaya mean BURNING steaks? You just flash them on the griddle so they are nice and rare Glad you understand the appeal of NOT having a flippin chimney.
