My new Jet-Teng Models (JTM) L-39 Albatros

Hello fighters...

I finished build of my new L-39 Albatros made by Jet-Teng Models > http://www.jet-teng.com/main/2008117...20098810473498 It's a matter of my heart because I see this jet every morning when I go to work I had to modified some things on mind. I used 5 servos HITEC HS-225 MG with EZ servo mounts on ailerons, flaps and rudder, 2 servos HITEC HS-125 MG on elevators and one TURNIGY S3317M metal gear servo for nose gear controlling. I have got separate external TURNIGY MEGABEC 8A with 2S Turnigy 1600 mAh for receiver FUTABA R6014HS FASST 2,4 Ghz. My power system is carbon edf VASAFAN 90mm (http://www.vasamodel.cz/img/foto_90_02.jpg) with original carbon intake lip powered by motor HET TYPHOON 700-68-1680 kv and ESC CASTLE CREATIONS ICE 100 (I made external fan for improve cooling during flight) with 8S TURNIGY nano-tech 4500 mAh 25-50C lipos. I had to molded my own intake and I made thrust tube with exhaust diameter 72mm, I measured in this configuration more than 4,4 KG of static thrust...I used original JTM scale struts with newest E-FLITE tricycle 60-120 full metal electric retract landing gear system which is designed for aircraft with RTF weight up to 7 kg...work very nice and is very strong...Cockpit is for BAE HAWK but I modified it according original L-39 cockpit...flaps are moving slowly by this great modul: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8863 Here are some pictures of my build, after maiden flight I will share video...Here are two videos from test of function of my flaps and retracts...ENJOY

Awesome!!
Your plane looks great!!

Thanks for taking the time to post all those pictures, you have saved me a lot of time
planning some parts of my build!
If I have a question, I'll just look at the pics you posted..... :-)

I do have a question....?
The control horns for your flaps appear different from the others.
My kit did not contain those "straight" horns.
Mine are all offset like your aileron ones....
Did those come with your kit?
Are they straight for a reason, more leverage maybe?

So, what is your final weight?
I'm also a little nervous about what my final weight will be.
I plan to just land hot the first couple of times and no steep banks in the landing pattern.
It appears you have a long runway, so that should help.

Good luck with your maiden and please keep us posted.
Thanks again for the pics!

Hi...

Thanks...Control horns on my flaps are my own home made, these straight control horns help reduce flat torque of servo because the originals horns were not good, servo has problems with hold down position...Yes, we have a long runway and I counting on it
