Pulsar 2e or Poly Pulsar 2e
I have been eyeing this model for a long time (poly model)Rudder, elevator, flap. I love the simplicty of a no aileron poly wing. Esprite has a 5% off so I'm thinkin I might pull the trigger. Should I consider the aileron wing? I mainly want a termal ship. Anybody have one or both they could coment about?

I just sold my 2005 Pulsar with ailerons because I just did not like the way it flew (too much pilot work) and went to an Electron R/E/F setup and just love it. When little planes get way up there, any pilot load that can be reduced is a good thing.
Just my personal preference but anything I can do to reduce inputs when the plane is just a spec keeps my blood pressure down.

Beautiful planes. I just finished my X-Tail Poly Pulsar and hope to maiden it on the next no wind/low wind day.
Jack is right....3-channel is less busy.

For thermal only, poly is a good choice. You can do more with an aileron ship but it's not needed for traditional thermal soaring.
Now if you wanted to do slope.. but the pulsar construction may not be best for that environment (landing zones..)
I actually have an (uncompleted) aileron version. Beautiful piece of work. I have the 3m similar model as well, the Topaz - not as well built, though..
