Completed BCT at Ft. Leonard Wood

Finally finished basic at Ft. Leonard Wood and I couldn't be happier. I spent the last 10 weeks at Bravo Company, 31st engineer battalion getting transformed into a soldier. I cant see the change in myself but I guess I have changed as my family seems to think I have.

Yesterday was family and I got to spend about 7 hours with them off base. So got to leave base and hang around wearing my ASU's all day long. Not my uniform of choice as I would much prefer my ACU's but rules are rules. I also picked up the HTC Thunderbolt to replace my old Sony Ericsson 810i that I have had for going on 6 or 7 years now.

Today was graduation and after all the crap and having to put up with some very large idiots (or rather large groups of idiots) its over. No more countless hours spent cleaning the 3rd floor, no more 50/50 fireguard, no more sleepless nights, no more drill sergeants and best yet, I will have more than 5 minutes to eat And I cant tell you how much that last one makes me happy. Tomorrow I get to hop on a bus and take a 13 hour ride on a grayhound bus to Texas. Cant wait...
