my new mobile box "ground station" trailer

It's pretty small but will be very easy to tow. I am creating a "hands free" launch on the top for my forthcoming Fun Jet that i can launch from inside. On the back, the "co-piolt" can watch from my view and also plug in his Futaba in the trainer port in case I need him help.

Awesome! We were just joking that someone needs to build a cockpit trailer and be totally anti-social at the field. It's like you're in the buddy box.

hahaha! I will only allow hot chics in the box..and my wife..maybe. because there are so many hot chics in this hobby

I wish I could tow it behind my KLR! What a perfect combination of hobbies! I bet i could pull just the trailer without the box on it..

Make a secret exit, in case someone pushes it to the side and you cant get the hatch open.

I need one! Do you see that 2 X 4 I have on the back? I put that there because I was inside with the door closed wiring everyhitng up and it flipped backwards! What a ride that was. I am glad it didn't land on the door. I would still be in there if that was the case..

That thing looks like a solar oven man! Any plans for ventilation or is it gonna double for a mobile sauna? e: nevermind, I just read you're in Portland, better make sure it doesn't leak :P

Very cool idea though, needs a mini-fridge!

I'm just curious as to why you have foam on the inside. Is it for insulation, or sound deadening? Also, is it wood siding, or aluminum/metal?

Ah, you are so right! I have a 9" fan on the fron and exit vents on the back. I have a switch to turn it on when it gets hot. The foam is for sound deadning. It was really echoish in there untill I installed the foam. I guess it will have some insulating properties as well.

It is made of wood with bedliner paint for durability.

The plan is for 2 more screens for a 180 view out of the sky. Baby steps though.
