What day you getting in? Ill be their Monday night till Sunday morning.

I'll be there Thurs morning thru Sat afternoon. I'll either be there this Sunday for the day or come down Weds instead of Thurs. Always a fun time.

I'm working on a GS P-47 ARF, but can't wait to get back on the F-18....
my goal is to have it done by Jan. and take it to display at the AMA show in Ontario... been working and flying as much as I can so progress has been slow

but I plan to pick up the pace agian soon

CG is at 11mm ahead of the front spar. Thought this to be enough ahead while still significantly behind a turbine model loaded w/ fuel. Can come back from here after first flight. Throws set as suggested in manual. Not sure the airbrake will be needed but it and the canopy are functional. Any last minute reminders from those that have done their homework on how this bird will fly?

I think what is throwing you is that lighteness should probably only have one e. So, 48 lbs 4 oz of lightness. Fortunately, the weight I've added has been where the cockpit will go and is almost identical to the cockpit/pilot weight. Should the plane have more than one take off and an equal number of planned landings at Ky Jets it will get a cockpit and numerous upgrades to look better for Ejets.

Well we fly 20-27 lbs on one fan so it should work. Just gotta bring some brass to the flight line and push forward and pull up. Good luck on your many flights. I think projects like this make guys re-evaluate is it the plane or is it me.

So flying a big twin like the F-18 I have not, but I have flown a big twin ME-262. It has the weight of 12s x 2 7600mah for packs on each fan 120mm's. It is a rush for sure and will look forward to yours and Ron's maidens.

It is always inspiring to see projects that go to the next level.

Carl, kirks hunter flys great on the same fan you have. It weighs 35.5 lbs, single fan. I know the setups aren't identical but at least you know what it's been pushed to. Keep us posted.

Ron, did you fabricate those fan mounts? My hornet didnt have anything like that and was planning to make something very similar. Your F18 is coming along nicely.
