Heard about that on the way in this morning. Looks like it was the red/white Super Huey that I often see flying from Falcon to the Army Reserve base near Scottsdale.

Glad everyone is OK.

The Helicopter was a Bell 212.
From what they told us at work, the two crewmen got out with some burns, but they did not elaborate. I am sure the scuttlebutt will be running rampant tomorrow at work.
Just happy to hear the crew got out. She sure was a nice looking 212

I see you guys sporting the name tags at the field. Do I have to perform some embarrassing task to get one?

Like land my planes on the runway?

Yeah I tend to look for the dirt areas to land. I think it's just a habit I'm trying to break.

Thats what they told me when they said I "Get" To ride the "special" bus. They said it was where all the "Cool" kids get to ride, away from all the other "Losers". Then I got on, and everyone was either in a wheel Chair, or Drooling in their lap.

I think that they wait to get a certain number of new members before submitting a batch name tag order. Took several weeks to get mine, but others who had joined during the "rush" of GQF convertees got theirs in about a week.

opps.

A few weeks ago I broke one of the control arm guides that guides my elavator control arm on my slow stick. Ya know the little ones towards the back. I've flown it since but today I was having a heck of a time controlling the elavator. Maybe the control rod is flexing?? A little windy towards 10am at Ellsworth.

Anyway any suggesions for replacing it or making up something different???

I have to "assUme" you are talking about your slow stick? If so, use plywood and create a new one that is better than the stock ones. Otherwise, buy the black parts tree and replace it.
