CSABA-RAMA: Csaba's library of sceneries is essential for all of us. There are two selections, one Hungarian and one English. Each with a few different choices. Check them both now and then for updates.

Another good scenery from Scraggy's secret basement vault, Apollo XI, Van Nuys, California, USA. It's almost overcast, clouds are low, with "light" sunshine hitting the field. The two strange characters standing in the middle of it seem to possess some sort of black power, you hit them all the time with your flying objects. Spooky matter. Love the light in this one. Interesting!

It's not a bad one, MFC Gersthofen. But it could have been better. Puzom has a valid point: You don't take off with the sun blazing straight into your face, the models are shrouded in silhouette most of the time, all the details are lost. A small layer with clouds would have filtered and spread the light, made it softer. But real life is sometimes as unpleasant as this, so there we go. The runway looks more like a sidewalk. Charming, but odd!

PS - It would have worked better if you had photographed the field late morning/noon with the sun above or slightly behind you. The ugly wire fence behind your back restricts your movements as well, you can't escape the strong sun. You only have a 180° field to play around with here, half of the flying field is gone because of the wire fence.

A long journey into Mexican wilderness. You're getting a low distant intense sun and worn cracked up asphalt textures, plus a long row with old, discarded automobile tires. Colors are strange and otherworldly. It must be Mexico seen through a brain fuelled by Mescaline. Fresh link below to a freeware edition. (Someone told me the light is just like that at Huichapan. OK, no drugs then).

To add to that... the bloody beautifully positioned product placement of the UMX Beast is just offensive.

Yes, smart guy, placing products into the scenery, this one is not discreet! Big deal, Phoenix RC and Horizon Hobby are one company. Most of the models are the ones they sell themselves.

More German fields, they are HQ almost all of them. Here's a huge open field, Panzerwiese, a muddy meadow north in München, this must be wintertime. It looks flat and unadventurous, but look up instead of down, there's some magic light and cloud formations above your head.

One of the very best German fields, MSC-Albatros Nalbach e.V., with a perfectly trimmed lawn, and a line of colored sticks to zig-zag through with your fave helicopters. You can land on the table, crash into the info-board. It's German perfectionism behind this one, real and imagined. All summer days should be as good as this. (design: D.Jacobi)

Much like the airfield above, as lush and green, by the same designer (D. Jacobi), but with a twist: This one's split in two parts by a tall fence protecting the spectators. You will sense the restricted air space and end up in several pieces against the fence. It's a honey trap this one! You're being teased by the designer. Scenery is quite something. It's fun to fly out with a fast aircraft into it.

Reposted link; sometimes you go: Wow, this is just good! Like with this stunning little German green slope. (Fischen im Allgäu is a municipality in the district of Oberallgäu in Bavaria in Germany). It's the most soothing and relaxing field ever made - the perfect summer resort. It's fun to glide down the long slope and hit the barn. There's a barnstormer in everyone of us.

- It looks like the photos are reversed! The writing outside the shops and and car sale is backwards. Either way, it's brilliant.

After Fischen, Niddapark Frankfurt is the perfect chill out zone. In cold winterlight, brown and deserted. No objects to crash with here, not even the bicycle. But the light is good in this one. It looks cold.

Frankfurt Niddapark in the summer season. It's more pleasant with hayballs and being surrouded by green grass. Even the TV tower looks good in the warm, clear weather. It's interesting how landscapes change with seasons and weather. Habo, Sweden, is another good one available in two versions. (Check post #44)
