Telling you guys about the flyovers it was pretty obvious I'd do my best to get a shot to share.....Well it was a half hour early over my house , and missed it, so I went down to Swansea to see him fly down the channel. I was there early this time

The advantage of a dark cloud in the background is always a nice thing to have.

Hot off the sensor, it's only a half an hour old.

20 minutes early over my place, I was about to jump in the car to head down for a quick look and heard it scream past....was so low that I could not see it, still nice to hear it and get some goose bumps.

Hey Gouch, nice pic. Is the FA-18A and the new Super Hornet the same colour?

buggered if I know!

Having said that the new uberbugs I saw at the williamtown show were the "std" silver colour. There are a few bugs up here with this greeny colour to them. Maybe a Raffie might chime in and explain it, but from what I have noticed it seems the single seaters (A and C) seem to be the only ones that get done like this.

I'd like to play with the pic some more one day and try to pull some more detail out of the exhaust shock.... wave thingies......and re-crop to suit. I'm pretty sure that's the technical term for those pulse ring thingies

actually they are pretty much the same type of shot, (the ones with decent lighting anyway) but here's a 100% crop of the cockpit from another image. Wonder what's on the notepad?

1: don't hit anything during flight, already over budget
2: small boats are not for strafing practice
3: get bread and milk on the way home

Nice work there Gouch.

Not quite as exciting, but here was our local fly-over in Tamworth:

Darren, are they CT-4? They sure didn't want to come down too low did they?

Yes they're CT4Bs. They may have flown lower during the display, this was taken as they flew over my house afterwards.
