Easytiger B-17 72.25"/1875mm span!

Ok, you all must know by now how much I dig my Easytiger/HC Hobby dH98 deHavilland Mosquito. Flew it stock then started modding it. Great flying model. I really love the thing and I love the fact that I've been able to get spares for it especially the hard to find parts like the retract door sequencing servo and spinners. So today I get the email on the B-17 and I'm pretty excited about where we're headed with foamies. This is one big bird at a click over a 6 foot span. I'm not a huge (no pun intended) B-17 fan but I really like the looks of this one. If I can scrape together the mountain of pennines and nickles and quarters for this one I'll be ordering one.

Six feet of wing and four motors is going to look and sound pretty darn cool over my field. Now, how will I repaint it? Hmm...

No, that's the smaller one although it really isn't small. This one is just over a 6 foot span. I really liso larger models so I'm hoping to get one of these. My dream hangar for big bombers would be this big B-17, a big Lancaster and Stifling and a big B-24.

What can I sell to make room for this Fortress?

Ok. Good to know. I have more pics to post later. I emailed ETM this morning but didn't expect a reply today owing to it being Easter bit I received some pics. Nice looking model. I'll post them later.

I wonder if it slides together over a spar like an Easy Glider.

Sure looks a lot like the 78 in 2000mm from Starmax
Looks like quite a few 17 out soon

Spaceshuttle-- I think I've seen that pic before. That's a real B-17 not the Starmax model. Is the Starmax even prototyped yet? I like the pics of their prototype P-40 but haven't seen their Fortress yet.

I like it... but I'd go with a more 'war torn' dirty silver paintjob with yellow nacelles I think. Kinda sick of the green painted bombers... weight and camoflauge often dictated they werent painted very much at all in actual fact.

That said, I do like the fact somone is putting out a B-17, and you can always repaint!

Cheers - boingk

Has anyone gotten one of these yet? I really like the idea of a big multi warbird making low passes down the runway.

Same, same, same...Not exactly produce by LX, but design by the ex-engineer from R.I.P HC HOBBY
