FS: Astro 020 BL w/ESC and 4.4:1 Planetary GB

This is the older sensored 7 turn motor. Includes motor, ESC, 4.4:1 planetary gearbox, and a 13x8 folding prop. This is a nice setup for a slow flying plane with a lot of wing area, such as a JKA T-52 (nice big loops) or a two meter glider. Draws about 12 amps on 8 cells, and puts out 25 ounces of thrust.

I bought the motor/esc combo used here a couple of months ago. The gearbox and prop were new at that time. I've flown this package in my T-52 with 8 cell Kan 1050 batteries. Worked very well as long as the wind was under 20 MPH. Aerobatic flights (continuous loops, rolls, stall turns) lasted 8 to 10 minutes. Always got compliments from the nitro pilots at the club field on how well the plane flew.

Moved to Ebay

A sensorless motor can be run in reverse (for use on a Zagi like wing) by switching two wires, while a sensored motor can only run in one direction.

Price reduced

Price reduced to $175 shipped. That's less then the cost of a new direct drive 020 with ESC.
