I like the first tailfin, and it has a greater areal than no.2. The Wraith-jet sounds pretty good, I am for that.

If we build it for a 90mm fan it is gona be big. The ratio between the outlet from the fan and the fuselages it 16,9. I think we will end op with a outside diameter of at the fan at around 110 mm. multiply 110 mm with 16,9 is 186 cm or 73". The wingspan will be 111,4 cm or 43,8".

So boredom you can still be in the game.

I agree lets move the wing op a bit.

we can do 70mm if everyone prefers that size better. might be more appealing to more people at that size anyway. as said before, it really doesn't matter too much, since templates will be able to be scaled to any size that the builder wishes. for me, 70mm is a better option, since that's about the price range that my wife tells me that I can afford. hahahahahaha.

boredom, I can give you a piece of advice about a wing like that..................the aspect ratio is so small, that roll/pitch control is going to be a handful. you should at least do your maiden with a gyro on every axis, just to be certain. you'll probably need tons of expo too, but gyros are almost essential for a model like that, unless you are one of the lucky few who's thumbs are faster than their brain.

send it my way. LOL.

that fan in this airframe is going to be killer. 6.5 lbs of thrust in a light airframe is going to mean one thing.....................ballistic missile.

wonder if we can get this done before the 70mm/4S speed contest coming up in Ottawa. wouldn't it be cool to win that with a plane that WE ALL designed. "in your face, you cookie cutter airplane, man pilot wannabe's" LMAO

I prefer the first one with the wing down the middle of the fuselage, makes for a nice, symmetrical look.

I'm still partial to the one that matches the wing. I may incorporate that one into my build.

I like the mid wing to, thats the way to go.

I came op with another name "sapphire-jet" That way we can allways make a diamond-jet in the future

It seems that we are all happy with this design, the tailfin can be modified to each taste. but lets stick with this design.

It could be a blast to win the contest, but who is going to Ottawa.

If boredom like it to be a 90mm model then lets design it for that, I just scale it down..... not a problem.
