MultiWii Configuration for Android over Bluetooth

I finally got permission from Nando (IceWind) to give a demo of the AndMultiWiiConf Android application. He has done an awesome job and was easy to show. There are plans for real time data monitoring (during flight) and recording flight data. There will also be a graph.
Currently you can:

1. Read settings (PID and rates)
2. Make changes and write them to the arduino
3. Calibrate ACC.

Super easy to use.

I am looking into making these Bluetooth adapters available at a very low rate as well, though it will work with any BT serial adapter.

*** UPDATE 5/5/2011 -- The application is now available (for FREE) in the Android Market. Get the application now and enjoy. Thanks Nando (IceWind)!

*** UPDATE 5/14/2011 -- Serial Bluetooth Adapters are listed here: http://www.blueskyrc.com/index.php?m...products_id=13
Each one is fully configured and tested. Tested using the Android Application connected to a MWC.

Free as in beer (but I'd prefer to get a Soda eheh) and on the Android Market Place (just fighting the paying method to open an account there ).

Btw, what's you'r Android OS version?
This is currently for 2.2+ but I can get it lower if there is still people out there running 2.1.

Unfortunatly lower than that can't be due to Google only have added BT API on 2.1+.

Huh.. I thought I posted here and suddenly I don't see the post. Why bother making a special BT adapter when something like Free2Move BT->Serial dongle is so cheap? Unless you can beat the f2m price of <$30...

There is no need for a "special BT adapter" -- it will work with any. I think the video and my original post both state clearly that it is a standard BT. The one I am using in the video is way cheaper than $30 -- I only had to change the baud rate from the default 9600 to 11520 using my FTDI USB adapter. If I get some of these in bulk, I hope to sell them for $20 or so (configured for 115200 baud). It is way cheaper than any I have seen.

I was chatting with Nando tonight and it looks like he is going to allow people to contact him for the APK file (the app) for beta testing before we submit it to the Android Market. Stay tuned. It might be tomorrow.

Ah, cool.
Yeah, I suspect in bulk, BT stuff can be quite cheap.

Hey

For the ones interested in helping testing it send me a PM.
I'll get around 5 to 10 people beta testing it before final release.

Thanks!
