Got my Zoom 400 in today too, but will have a lot less gear on my plane when finished.

I installed it and did a quick power test using an EMP 6x3... my eflite 30a esc got warm just doing this so I might need to step up or prop down. but as you can see looking at this I should have crazy vert performance.. cant wait for sunday!!!
I ran a watt test with that prop and same motor on my Assassin... I was getting only a low 20's amp draw and about 260 watts with a 3 cell battery. Your 30a should be fine. I'm using a 40a but only because the vender I ordered from was out of 30's and offered 40's for the same price. I was running a Zoom 370 before that with a 6X4 and was pushing 300 watts and 29 amps on that motor. made me rethink my motor and I stepped up to the 400. The 6X3 was waayyy too much for the Zoom 370.

Don't fly at WOT until you get used to it . You will and then it will seem slow. Also try it without the 420 installed

I really mean it, the plane will just be completely uncontrollable and i have to slow it down to regain control of the elevons.

the 420 is on to counter balance the fpv gear...i actually had to use a 900 3s for VTX in flight to get it right!!

Finally got around to modifying my Blunt nose popwing to accomodate the GoPro Hero2. It was a bit windy but she handled it well. Loving this plane.

Okay, I get it now... Sounds like your servos are too weak for the speed. Usually metal gear 9 grams do the trick, not sure if you are using them or not. High speed loads the elevons pretty good and a weak servo will stall under the load and not move until you slow down.

The 420 was a joke. I'm making an assumption it has another meaning. Maybe I was wrong

First time flying a rc plane(but i do fly helicopters)and i started with a pop wing. First time building one first time flying one. My maiden flight went well except for the fact that my wing wanted and did fly upside down. I think put it together just like the manual said. So what have i done wrong?

I'm not saying its the problem but is the prop on backwards? Are the numbers facing the front of wing?
