like it....

Sorry for the late reply.....

I really like this Mini Pop wing. I live on a golf course fairway, that is lined with large Oak trees....I fly some bigger planes outside above the tree line, but wanted something smaller that I could fly below the tree line....It flys great with a 610mah battery in it. The prop clearance definitely fixed it. This is my first wing. I got it on a Black Friday sale at Common Sense with a Spektrum (compatible) receiver for $69. No problems with the receiver either.....

Just in case anyone's interested, I took my popwing (normal size) out today for a first flight with a gopro strapped on top.

Edited up the videos I got back from my two flights. Sorry it's so shaky, still really new to RC flying. Enjoy!

Flying Wing FPV (11 min 9 sec)

You can watch in 1080 for maximum awesome.

This motor should work for the Mini Popwing right?

It seems to have the exact same specs as the "T-motor"

Specs.
RPM/V: 3200Kv
Cell Count: 2s Lipoly
Max.efficiency: 81.1%
Current at Max.eff: 2~4.7A
Max.current: 6A
No Load Current: 0.A/7V
Intemal Resistance: 350mOhm
Dimensions(Dia.xL): Φ16mm×12mm
Shaft: 1.5mm
Weight: 8.8g

Let me know your opinions.

Yes, it will work on the mini pop wing. It is the same motor recomended for the HK Bonsai wing. In case this hasn't been covered here and unbeknownst to me until I received both the Mini Pop wing and Bonsai from HK, they are the same plane just different names on the box and paint schemes. Heck even the boxes they come in are the same save for the sticker on the box. They are so similar that the instruction manuals have the same Engrish text and pictures just with a different paint scheme. It just goes to prove there are only a few factories in china churning out stuff but relabeling them 7 ways to sunday.

any recomendations on the best battery for the larger PW? I built one last summer and bought 4 800mh batteries but I've been battling a tail heavy bird...

I run 1300mah 3s and 1550mah 3s in my larger PopWing and both work great on the stock motor setup. I do have a 7x6 prop on it if memory serves and it scoots along nicely.

Mine also likes a few mm of "up" reflex in the elevons for level flight.

Have fun!

I love my popwing. I got mine from lazetoyz.com. I fly with 1500`2100 batts. This wing will handle a lot of. Wind. I really enjoy this plane.

fzromen,
I have been flying the larger one. In DX6i I have a 35% EXPO and ELEVON active. Everything else is normal.
Its a lot of fun and I have been learning to fly inverted with it. It would have been expensive with a different plane.

Dmize, this thing is a blast. But mine likes the heavier packs for sure. Very easy inverted and slows down nice too. Would make a decent sloper.

Agreed, I prefer 1500-2200mah 3s packs in mine as it helps with the wind and yet still flys fine with the heavier packs.

I'm starting to get bored with the stock power though, may have to "up" it a bit

Sammy, that sounds cool. That's a pretty robust airframe. I think it would handle a hop up if you stayedunder one thousand watts.
