still thinking to increase wing tip fins in size as you can see it's on edge of unstable in the vid.
but still fun to fly

Love the mini

I finally finished putting the mini together yesterday. I got it from Nitroplanes with motor and esc. I was expecting it to be mellow given the tiny size of the motor, but boy was I wrong. With 800mah 2S battery, it had plenty of juice and then some.

I did (or I think I did) have an issue with one of the servos. For some reason, the left one didn't seem to have the same range of motion as the right one. But, once I tweaked a bit my tx, the flight was good. I still need to tweak more, but I am super happy with the Wing. It is loads of fun. I am sure my buddy is going to get one soon and I am already thinking about the 900mm version.

900 Pop Wing CG?

Ahoy! I have a 900 Pop Wing with a Parkzone 1300ma battery in it. I had to add 45 grams of lead inside the EPP skid foam piece to get CG at 210mm from the nose of the plane. Does this sound right? It seems like a lot of weight to me, considering I'm already using a bigger battery than recommended. Getting ready to madian. Thanks, Capt'n Ron

mini pop wing dx6i set up dual ailerons

yes I have seen this post--but I still have some questions
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...2&postcount=35

Next, go to Mix 1 and set Elev -> Flap with both rates (D & U) at 100%.that was -100%, but you may have to use +100 percent
did you end up doing -100% or +100% ?

Now, if you want differential it should work perfectly

did you set up differential, if so how ?

If you go to Dual Rates and reduce your top rate down at least to 80% of full
am I supposed to do this change on Mix 1 setting or on the Dual rates setting? I am guessing it is on the dual rates
and I am suppseed to leave Mix 1 D + U rates both at 100%

when do you use the flaps ?

Plus 100

No

Dual Rates
Go down to maybe 60 Ail and Ele with around 25 expo to start,
That will make your maiden safer.
Then bring the rates up to meet your skill/comfort level.

and I am suppseed to leave Mix 1 D + U rates both at 100%
Yes

when do you use the flaps ?
No Flaps
Good luck... I know you'll have fun!
This little plane is a hoot if it has some power.

IFlyRCs -- thanks a lot ! that clears things up

so, no flaps though flaps are set up in Mix 1 ?
I suppose just no need to lower elevons to lower flap position?

The flap setting was only involved to make things move the right way and requiring only one mix to be used.
To my knowledge no one uses flaps with delta wings.
I have no idea if flaps would even function with this setup.

I don't think the flap switch will do anything if you flick it.

It works. If someone wanted to add a little up elevator at launch:

With flap/gyro switch to up set flaps to desired value but leave elevator @ 0. After launch flip the switch down.

Thanks Grump,
That might be helpful for more effortless gliding too.
I'm almost constantly feeding up while gliding.

mini pop wing dx6i set up dual ailerons

okay I am having trouble

elevons/elevator working correctly--ailerons opposite

ailerons function opposite and hitting Reverse just makes them work on the elevator control. I have tried both configurations of ailerons in Aux and Ailerons in the receiver. I have specktrum ar6100e.

on wing tail mix I have dualaile ACT. Vtail INH Elevon INH.

MIX 1
elev>flap act
rate d +95% U + 95%
SW on TRIM ACT

-----------------
UPDATE
PHEW I got everything to work by putting R aileron in Aux 1 and Reversing Elev, Aile, and Flap.

overdriving servos
also seems like servos are overdriving espcially when using extreme elevator with extreme aileron at same time even though in dual rates I have it them 70%. Do I need to do travel adjust or sub trim?
