The CG for the 1200mm version is between 195 - 205mm from the leading edge.

My 35 inch Pop wing came yesterday. I'll start on it Sunday night. What's the best way to glue the two wing parts together? Hot glue or Shoo Goo or something else?

I used epoxy. Working really good. I crashed today at the flying field about 4 hours ago. It was pretty windy (15-20mph winds). As I was flying around back and forth between half and full throttle......... SNAP!!

The wing snapped right in half. BUT, it broke an inch to the left of where I originally glued the two halves together with 30 minute epoxy. So seeing that evidence, I would say epoxy will do the job pretty well.

That is weird that it broke like that. I rough handle mine and crash it all of the time and it doesn't do that. Did you use the right kind of epoxy? I just used CA and activator for mine. Here is an example of us bashing it around and how I built it.

the oddest thing about that crack is I see no rods installed across the split, as the instructions say to install. I have smacked mine into the ground and 70mph, and while it did rip the motor mount off and get a large crack between the 2 wings, the CF rods stopped a complete split.

Yeah, there is at least three CF rods that run across the middle section to prevent that from happening. I even mention that in the build video up above.

Anyone try mounting a GoPro Camera on the large Pop Wing?

I'm looking for an inexpensive wing for a stable GoPro platform.

The cool thing I hear, you can have more epoxy and tape than foam and it will still fly well!

Thinking of grabbing a mini popwing for fun both at the high school and a small baseball field... I used to have the HK Bonsai and it was awesome, do you think I could use a 800 mAH or 950 mAH 2S pack on these? Or would it be better with a 600 mAH one?

Never mind, I think I'll just grab a couple hundred of these...

Some fliers are using 3s (850mAh, 1000mAh, 1300mAh) so why not!
