Hi Rich,
Another one of your long line of beautiful airplanes that I've seen you produce over the years. Thanks for sharing. Any plans to kit the BirdDog or to have a build/plans feature in a hobby mag?
Bill

Rich

That is a pretty airplane, long been a favourite of mine...

I'm assuming rudder/elevator with that dihedral...

Are plans available?

Cheers Rich

Thanks, gentlemen, your nice words are really appreciated. Here is another shot of the Bird Dog. It will be featured as a free pull-out plan with construction article in the next issue of "Fly R/C" which is a new bi-monthly, nicely done R/C magazine.
The L-19 is, as noted, a three channel rudder/elevator and motor model and it flies like a big park flyer but not as "floaty". Kind of a "guided free flight"! I'm having more fun with this thing than I ever figured I could!
Again, many thanks!
Rich

Excellent Rich!

I won a 118"-span version in a club raffle a couple of years ago and am looking forward now to making it an electric rather than a gassie.

Having a Speed400 version will be great!

Keep 'em coming....

Hello Rich, beautiful plane I'll be adding to my fleet one way or another.

I have the plan from the magazine, notice the laser cutting on the pictures in the magazine, wondering whether your company will be offering a kit anytime soon? Also curious how the bottom of wing was finished, painted?? And, is wing twisting a problem given no evident bottom sheeting?

Rich,
I had already picked up the magazine, and have been studying the plans before I saw this thread. I, too, was curious about the sheeting on the wing. I was thinking about sheeting the bottom of the wing, and was curious why you chose not to sheet the wing bottom?
