I use two rubber o-rings, I forget what size but they are about 3/4" diameter, you can find them in the plumbing repair section of Home Depot or Lowes or any hardware store. Much easier and stronger than messing with the rubber bands. And they last a lot longer. When not in use I just slip them over the cf wing spar so I know where they are the next time I go flying.

I flew it today. I used two little quick ties to keep wings together. The plane flies perfect. The guys at the field asked it I hit the knife edge button. First flight did knife edge, knife edge loop, and knife edge spins. The spins went on and on and on. Crazy!

I did have an issue with my ESC, it keeps resetting. Im not sure what's wrong. I checked everything and it is programmed properly. it is an e-flite 40 amp. there is not much to programming it. I can't figure it out. it sees the motor would cut out every time I was pointed up at an angle getting ready to go inverted. Motor would stutter then cut out. pull throttle back down then resets. There is not a procedure for throttle range on this one, just lipo or nimh setting and brake. I shut brake off and have on lipo. It was default that way too. Weird...

Flew again today. I love this plane. I didn't even get my wings on my slick today. Pulled my first sets of torque rolls with it. I also found out I had a shoddy esc so exchanged it for a new/better one. Works great now, can practice lowwww....

What 4s packs fit in this? Thinking 12x6 and 800kv as I already have this setup but my 2500 gens are too big.

welders on the horizontal stab or CA? I was thinking maybe welders due to it crash worthiness.

Welders might be good, but you will need thin CA to wick in there for the bombproof fit. The core of the H-Stab is not friends with CA, though. Its only a EPP skin, best use foam safe (which I didnt, melted it a bit, no biggie)

I took a hard 4 foot drop and smack Saturday, sounded bad. No damage.

the gorilla glue will expand too much, try "Welders" in the red tube ... i had the same issue. Other than that, the design of this kit is excellent.

I flew my version 1 MXS for the first time today after recently getting around to repairing it after a mid-air collision with one of nac's planes a few months ago. It's heavier than before, but it still flies well. Of all of the planes that I own, I think that the MXS is the best one to just pick up and fly aggressively without really having to think too hard. Any other plane that I fly seems to need a bit more attention than this one. Here are some pics from today.

where are you guys putting your linkage's for throw? Are you running longer arms on the servos?

With 65mg i'm at 22-24mm on servo arm from center of out put shaft
