Tumppi, that looks great.

Have you thought about putting a lever or rocking arm on the canopy post, back end pushed up by aileron servo and front end pulls swashplate down.

Love that LED. Going to be a long hot summer and I plan to do many cool flights at night.

Hi Ribble,

Yes...the rocking arm idea was also on my mind and i will try it when i get back home in Finland. Im on business trip in Norway right now.

and also you can turn around the servo arm of the rear servo to get pushrod a bit more vertical............

Michael, how do you find this stuff. Looks like all the weight is forward. Must have a really long tail for balance.

The rocker/lever assembly idea would be the best. You want as much linear movement as possible. Those tail support arms links on the frame should be one screw lower.

Mjx f45

Ordered a MJX F45 receiver board to see what makes it tick, and just maybe it would work with transmitters CT6B or V911.

MJX F45 looks pretty close to being a 4 channel clone of the DH9104.

DH9117 is a 4 channel clone of the DH9104. But it will be a while until DH9117 parts will be available.

The more I looked at the MJX F45, the more I liked it. So I also ordered an RTF.

Was waiting for the DH9116 price to drop to buy one of those and a receiver board to fit the DH9104. MJX F45 price is about the same as the DH9116 price. And I like the big size of the DH9104 and MJX F45.

Not all that interested in ailerons. The deciding factor is 2.4GHz and being able to set up the transmitter on a DH9104 conversion.

CT6B transmitter and three servos

Don, CT6B transmitter and three servos. You have been busy. It even looks like a DH9104 again.

LEDs and 2200mah battery. Great color scheme. Need a night photo with LEDs turned on. I'm getting my DH9104 ready for night flying with LEDs and glowsticks.

Canopy photo is really impressive.

i cut Sweppes Gingarelle bottle to toke some plastic becouse today was BIG CRASH i brake canopy ... and i decided to remove broken black window and cange it.. ok i will put some photos . its GT power 8 led system for airplanes or helis. i put just 2 fashing strobes and to slowly flashing red lights to save power

Are you guys still running the original spec main motor. The guys with the new 9117 are complaining about a lack of power and needing a large throttle % to take off, is this also the case with the 9104???. Can you clarify in the oem motor is a 370 or 380 motor and is there an upgrade that has proved worthwhile? Thanks in advance

Yes, 370 size main motor. I never thought the DH9104 was underpowered. It is big, and it is sluggish. Or it just seems sluggish because it is big.

It has a relatively low rotor RPM, otherwise us "kids" would be losing fingers and toes.

doncissss has the only DH9104 war-wounds that I heard of - he actually drew blood.

Guys are comparing the DH9117 to a 450 class helicopter. Two entirely different animals. You can stick your hand into the DH9117 blades and get stung. I've done it with the DH9104 about five times because I didn't see the blades.
