Today I got the sails.
I have to say I was rather surprised how fast Rod got them done.

I have rarely had a more easy and uncomplicated dealing as with Rod.

The blue is stunning. The workmanship perfect.

Naturally I was very curious how they would look and so I hung the Main and the Jib by strings, good old fashion rope party in the Wild West

The last days I have been building hardware, masts and booms for the sails.

Now she got jibed.

I have no idea jet how I am going to do all the stuff with the flyer.
Hanging it is no problemo, but how to controll it. A fourth servo is needed, but than I have no idea.

But anyhow she is ready to hit the water with her new clothe, probably middle of the week.

Wow, beautiful schooner. The blue sails looks very good with the paint on the hull.

It snowed today, just one of those April days.
So I got the Flyer hung.

I put her besides her Sister for the Pics.

Today was a very nice day, with moderate Winds from all 360 and more degree and so I gave the new sails and mast and hardware a test run. Wow is she fast.
Now the fine tuning can start.

The blue is really spectacular

Thanks Millertime,

I took her out to the Lake on Monday, Winds were iffy in the Canyon, water is still low. But never the less I had a few moments of steady wind from one direction to play with the trim of the sails changing the balance of the boat.

I shot a short video, because of the winds I had to sail way out close to the other shoreline, southwest winds, little boat far away, hard to see.

I have Millertime. I wonder how much further I can let her go before I loose radio contact.

Wow, Guenther, that looks beautiful! Now, if I can only get my boat ready for the 19th of May!
