Podcast Number 3 - Weak Signals and the Sbach Story

Podcast number 3 is ready for your ears and boy do we have a lot for you to hear! There is also a story told by Jim Bourke on this podcast that no one has heard yet that involves his full scale SBACH, but more on that later...

- SleepyC and I talk about all the cool things we saw the Weaks Signal show in lovely Toledo, OH. We also talk about upcoming events and event coverage.

- Jeff Meyers talks about SEFF, he makes a personal announcement and talks about a new charity he is creating. Good stuff!

- Finally, Jim Bourke and I discuss the Weak signals show, RCGroups 15th anniversary/Mont of Awesome and finally Jim tells us about what happened to his recently purchased full scale Sbach. This is a story you have to listen to. I know when I heard what happened my reaction was, "OH MY GOD!"...well I'll let you hear for yourself what happened as told by Jim B. in the podcast.

This is a loonggg podcast so save it for your drive to SEFF, or break out an RC project and listen while you work.

Here you go!

Hey Jim. Just a minor point about the way the Podcasts are named. Could you have a standard naming format for the Podcasts, or work out a way to keep them grouped together in the iPod?

eg.
First Podcast name: RCGroupsPodcast1.mp3
Second name: RCGroups Podcast 2.mp3
Third name: RCG Podcast_3.mp3

These 3 podcasts did not show up on my iPod listed together. I had to scroll through and search for each of the files.

I renamed them:

RCG Podcast_1.mp3,
RCG Podcast_2.mp3, and
RCG Podcast_3.mp3, and all three podcasts listed together.

For just 3 podcasts, it's no big deal, but for the future, it would be nice if all the RCG podcasts showed up on the iPod as a group, like songs in an album. Ya?

Are those banners available for purchase from RCG? I remember seeing an RCG merchandising page, but I can't find it now.

I quess the "wind sock" RCG banner in the photo isn't available?

I really appreciate the podcasts. Great material! But, I must say that there is a problem with the audio quality. Please don't take offense, none meant, these comments are meant constructively. There is a hum that comes and goes all the way through, varying from inaudible to quite distracting. The volume and quality of the voices of the remote guests are WAY down compared to your own voice. And after I turn up the volume to hear the remote guest the musical bursts darn near blow my speakers because the music is far louder than anything else in the program, far too loud.

Thanks again for very interesting programs!

Regards,
Gord Seifert

Jim I just listened to the podcast great job. Looking forward to number 4 .

Just a suggestion. How about some ETOC pilots giving us their histories and about some of there equipment. (planes, radios, motors and such) just a thought.
