F/S Astro 40 with Suberbox and ESC
I have a Astro 40 Cobalt with a Superbox. It is connected to an Astro 204 esc. The esc can handle 30 cells and 60 amps. I had this in my big 13 lbs Tiger Moth on 24 cells. With a 18/8 prop, this combo is good for about 1000 watts.
I had one of the brush holders break, but it was CA back together. That was almost 6 months ago. I have had no problem with it. The plane was flown at SEFF that way and had no problem, exept for the wheel ejection system . See this months insert in QF.
I have gone with a brushless in that plane for now.
This is a great motor for any 20 to 24 cell application. Its not a Hacker, but for a scale application, it is fine. Plus it is dead reliable. I have never had a single problem with this setup. No demag of rotors, esc cutting out, won't arm.
Hows $165.00 shipped CONUSA.
New from Astro the package is $300.00
Thanks
Mike
