HK F35 or HK F18 as first EDF?
Ok after putting off my First EDF for a couple of Months untill I had more skill I am trying to decide between these 2.
I am limiting it to these 2 as I only have a 3S Charger otherwise I would buy this
Now I could still do the Dassault Alpha but would have to run 2S batteries in Series.
So Exprienced EDF Pilots, which Airframe do you think is easier to fly?
The F18 with its low wing loading or the F35 with its greater wing area?
Or should I go for the big Alpha and its High Wing and Trainer characteristics.

My take on the smaller jets is they can be a handful, the Alpha jet is in fact a very good flier and very predictable on landing, a couple guys have them and I've had the pleasure helping them get it maidened and trimmed. As far a batts go a fellow flier I'm sure would help you with charging them until you get proper equipment. I would, as the duty would help you curb the ability to fly alone and crash prematurely! The Alpha can run on a larger pack as the airframe will handle the weight no prob, more flight time!

i think you will find many people recommend the t45 goshawk for the first EDF
its realtively big(more stable, easier to see), flies great and a great buy
