The Fuselage has a few pieces missing.
It IS a Piper J3.
Actually it is a 1942 model NE1. NE1 is the US Navy version of the J3.

It belongs to a friend of mine.
We are restoring it back to flying status.
The great news for me at least is when it is done I get flying lessons in it!
My friend is an instructor for Boeing.

If it was not for this chance there is no way I would be able to get lessons.
As it is I cannot get a private pilots license. Due to my MS.
But I can get a light Sport aircraft license.
And that is good enough for me!
We will be selling off some of the original parts from the airplane that we will not be reusing. Might make for some good hobby room decorations!
