I feel same expectation as you, unfortunately our Stregas are still packaged
Give us 1 month and video will be here, pretty sure Sam will get it flying before us...come on Sam!!!!

plenty of room under the canopy, hope that 1506 + CC80 will balance the CofG using 4S3000mah

Arghh... bad thing to see...
1 - bubbles in the weaker part kill my balls...
2 - this is not a hotliner, but, as a mouldie plane should handle 2KW, RCRCM 100% fault.
3 - let's reinforce it with carbon before take off.

Hey Aussie,

Yes, you can use this plane as 2 in 1, just buy an slope fuse, wings and tail will fit perfectly. I just land in Brazil, E Strega is comming soon, I will help chrispaiva to build it :-)

Hi Fellas, If you were going for an average motor / prop combo (not hot liner) what would you recommend for the E-Strega?

Guys, our simulation shows that 1506/1.5Y/6.7 or 1506/3D/6.7 with 4S plus CC80 and big prop 18x11 will generate 1500W, this setup is light and good power as a warmliner,
still not proved, just simulations...

Andre,

Thank you so so much for the info on the 1506, I really do appreciate it but at $300usd it's a tad out of my price range. I was thinking of something a little cheaper and without a gear box if this can be done?

I'm not interested in hot / warm just something that will get model up to altitude in a manner that's not warp 9 or too briskly, not over powered but will do the job for sport flying.
