Vertical takeoff with gws 350 (VIDEO)

Hey all,
here is link to a quick (but sweet),video my brother took of me doing a vertical takeoff with a plane I scratched from foam, and a balsa wing/tail, for testing the GWS 350. The plane's weight without battery is about 8oz. I was using an 8cell AA nicd pack. The Gear ratio is the B, and a 9x4.7 prop. This is one sweet motor! Next plane to test it with is my SA CAP 232. Right click link and save to file to download(it is a pretty small file, under 500 KB).

i'm running a 350 on a 5.33 gearbox and a 10x4.7 prop on my and_now. AUW 9.5oz. Goes vertical ! I'm trying to learn 3d so this would be a good start. So far my favourite manouver is to fly continous loops. I know that doesn't sound very interesting, but not having had the power to do those kind of moves before, it still gives me a kick

What I think is cool, is even though I have the B which is only 4.43:1, I still have the static thrust to do a reasonable vertical takeoff. It would be interesting to see what it would do with the 5.33:1. I hear you about the continous loops!
