I ordered two small 3.5V fans to stick on top of the esc heatsinks, as I don't trust the airflow to do it's job in spite of the open front geardoor.

I have one of these also. Need to get workin on it Glad I found a few of you that have this plane as its always nice to see how people do things.

Thats a good idea with the little fans. I had bought some small fans from radio shack to use in my electric converted B-17 several years ago. They will work on 4.8v, 6v or even a 2 or 3 cell lipo. I never ended up using them though cuz of space constraints.

I wont have any problem on this plane though. Thats for reminding me i had those.

I am almost done with the decals & minor detailing.

The "no walk" dashed strips on the upper wings required some patience (and some decal Micro Sol solution).

I also received from Ralle the correctly oriented "dog" for the JG fuselage emblem ...

hey, what timing are you using on your HET motors?

also, what khz?

i went back and found out my esc was set to 22 deg of timing on my 1500kv HET...no wonder the packs wernt happy...

Soon I hope ... 7 degrees timing ("low") or thereabouts, 8kHz switching frequency.

I phoned them direct from Australia and got things moving pretty fast, since they had not replied to my emails. They speak English so there is no language barrier.

Airworld, they never reply to e-mails ... a phone call is the way to go.
