Samba Model - Pike Precision F3B/F
Just saw this posted on Pierre Rondel's Planet-Soaring site...
"After a long absence on the F3B/F scene, being very busy developping the popular and winning Pike Perfect product range, Samba Model is coming back with a new F3B/F plane. I have only few information, but I got 2 pictures of the very first prototype out of the moulds. CNC molds,Wing span of 2,96 m. Total dihedral of the wing is 6°. V-tail dihedral 102°. Fuselage has removable nose cone. Ballast is located in the joiner and in ballast tubes behind the joiner. The total ballast is about 2000 gr." |

Samba is also known for releasing April fool's jokes.
In the first picture one might see warps in the fuselage (boom and nosecone) that are characteristic of the Vampire F3B by Jesina. Wing planform looks not like Vampire though. Reto |

Great to hear that Benjamin Rodax designed the new plane and that Samba will produce it. off topic: on Samba's website: 2011 - 1.4.2011 "All that sends sms to 004790898709 will be part of testing team for new super F3J. Sent to you within two weeks. We need 10 testing persons to check spar quality and torsion stiffness. Please hurry. All expenses paid." Is that real too  ?Reto |

Cool, is it an F3B model or a windy F3J model? The quote above "testing team for new super F3J" makes me think it isn't a B model??
